Considerable regret was everywhere expressed on Saturday last when the news got about of the death at he residence, Comieroy Road, of Mrs Catherine Butler. Mrs. Butler was a very old resident of this district, and was in her 72nd j'ear. She was universally respected, and was always ready and willing to assist in any movement of a worthy character. Mrs Butler was of a very kindly disposition, and a favourite with all. The funeral took place on Sunday, being conducted by Messrs. T. Primrose and Son, and the remains of the deceased lady were interred at the R. C. cemetery, Comieroy Road, the Rev. Father Hanrahan officiating. The funeral was very large, and the fact that all denominations were represented was a testimony of the universal regret in which the deceased was held. Mr. M. Butler, of Comieroy Road, is a son of the late Mrs. Butler's.
