Biography

Daphany (Unknown) Burt is a part of US Black heritage.

Daphne was born about 1826 in Mississippi. Her parents were born in South Carolina.

She was a former enslaved woman who was freed after the U.S. Civil War, probabaly in Attala County, Mississippi.

She was the mother of eleven children^[1], including:

1. Ed Bert, born Aug 1874
2. Ivery [or Ivory] Bert, born Dec 1876 (1878 also on some records)
3. Richard Bert, born April 1881

She passed away after 1920.
