Biography

Susanna was born about 1803 at Island Cove, Newfoundland.

She married William Stanley
Together they had 6 children:

1. William Stanley
2. Levi Stanley
3. Jane Stanley
4. Edward Stanley
5. Richard Stanley
6. Kezia Stanley

She passed away in 1893 at (Upper) Shoal Harbour, near Clarenville, Newfoundland.^[1] Her birth place was listed as Island Cove and her age was 90 years old.

Research Note

Some researchers have her maiden name listed as Slade. The only reference of Slade that I have found that can be connected to Susanna is her grand daughter, Jemima, married a Samuel Brown in New Zealand. They had 2 children, one named Lucy Beard Brown and one named Rosa Stanley "Slade" Brown. It is a possibility that Slade or Beard was Susanna's surname but it is also a possibility that it was not.
