Biography
Martha (Unknown) Jennings is a part of US Black heritage.
Martha was born in Missouri in the United States about 1847.
She married sometime before 1866, the year her first child is born.
Sometime between 1866 and 1871 the family migrated to California, as her second child was born in California.
In the 1880 census Martha (age 33), keeping house, was the widowed head of household in Woodland, Yolo, California. Hester Jennings is listed as her mother, but it is possible she is her mother-in-law.[1]
