Adeline Van Dursen was born January 1, 1840 in Sophiasburg, Prince County, Prince Edward Island, Canada. She was the daughter of Peter Van Dusen and Deborah Davis.[1]
Sylvester Richmond, 21, resident of Hamilton Township and Adaline Van Dusen, 18, resident of Brighton, were married by Baptist Minister Hoyes Lloyd on August 22, 1858 in Hilton. Witness to the marriage was W W Elliott of Port Hope.[2]
