Gerrit van der Sluijs (1904 - 1960)

Biography

Gerrit van der Sluijs was born on 16 March 1904 in Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands ^[1], the son of Aart van der Sluijs and Gerritje Snor.

He married Hendrika Willemina Baars, the daughter of August Hendrikus Baars and Willemijntje Wens, on 20 July 1927 in Utrecht, Utrecht, Netherlands ^[2].
Sadly, Hendrika died exactly two years after their marriage on 20 July 1929.

He then married Femmegien Franke, a single mum with a 2 year old son named Casper, on 25 September 1929 in The Hague, South Holland, Netherlands ^[3]. Gerrit officially adopted Casper as his own son.

Gerrit died on 12 August 1960 in Alkmaar, North Holland, Netherlands ^[4].
