Marriage
- In Driel, in the year 1842, on August 25, were married, on the one side, Jacobus van Hoesel, 26 years of age, occupation laborer, born and living in Driel in the province of Gelderland, son of Peter van Hoesel, deceased, and of Allegonda van Lokven, without occupation, living in Driel, on the other side, Johanna van der Sluijs, young woman, without occupation, born and living in Driel in the province of Gelderland, daughter of Jan van der Sluijs, occupation laborer, and of Johanna Lozerberg, both living in Driel. A copy of the birth record of the bride shows that he was born in Driel on September 1, 1818. The marriage took place in the presence of the witnesses Piet Laheij, 46 years of age, occupation laborer, living in Driel, Jan Renard, 51 years of age, occupation shoemaker, living in Driel, Jan van der Linden, 55 years of age, occupation laborer, living in Driel, and Hendrik van Groeningen, 45 years of age, occupation courier, living in Driel, no blood relatives or family.
