He was the brother of Edith Gertrude (Vidler) Copland, Florence Hilda (Vidler) Marsh, Matilda Jane (Vidler) Cullen, William Stanley Vidler, UnNamed Male Vidler, Annie Frances Ruth (Vidler) Kerr, George Edward Vidler, Marjory Edna Nuttall (born Vidler), Emily Winifred Vidler, Lindsay Neville Vidler and Ethel May Vidler.

He married Sarah Janet Walker on 12 February 1925 at Murwillumbah, New South Wales, Australia ^[2]and their children were Thomas Gregory Vidler, Lorna May Vidler, Doreen Margaret Vidler.
