Mr. F. W. Voltz
The many friends of Mr. Frederick William Voltz will be sorry to learn of his death, which occurred in Sydney on Tuesday 16 July.
Deceased, who was 61 years of age, was born at Waterford, and was well known throughout the Logan and Albert district.
Very early, in life Mr. Voltz took up work in a sawmill owned by Messrs Laheys Ltd., and worked for this firm as a sawyer for about 42 years, about 30 years of which was spent in the town of Beaudesert.
Later on he left Beaudesert for Lamington, where he took up a position as sawyer for Mr. E. Buchanan, and then left Lamington for Roseberry, (Kyogle) where he had been manager of Roseberry Sawmills for Mr. E. Buchanan for the past six years.
The body was brought to Kyogle, where the interment took place on Friday last in the Roman Catholic portion of Kyogle cemetery. A large, number of district residents joined in paying a last tribute of respect to deceased, who was a highly respected resident, of Roseberry. Rev. Father Smith officiated at the graveside, and Mr. G. Grove had charge of the funeral arrangements.
Deceased is survived by a widow, five sons, and two daughters, vizi—Harry (Brisbane), Joe, Louis, Ambrose, and Jim (Roseberry, Kyogle), Mrs. F. Clacey (Brisbane), Madeline (Roseberry). [8]
