Maximilian Baron von Romberg was born on September 6, 1824, and died on September 22, 1904.
He served in the Royal Prussian Army, rising to the rank of First Lieutenant.
He was a member of the Conservative Party. From 1867 to 1871, he was a delegate to the Reichstag of the North German Confederation, also serving in the Customs Parliament, and from 1871 to 1874, he was a delegate to the German Reichstag.
He was the owner of Gerdauen and a member of the Prussian House of Lords. He was also a Knight of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem.
