Michael Vondrak, 80, a retired farmer, died Tuesday at his farm home in Perry township about 10 miles northwest of Sioux City.
Mr. Vondrak was born July 15, 1870, in Czechoslovakia. At the age of 10 years he came to the United States and had resided on the same farm the last 70 years. He retired about 10 years ago. He married Mary Poradek May 18, 1895, in Sioux City.
Survivors are the widow, three sons, Arthur of Sioux City, John and Clarence, both of Hinton, Ia; a daughter, Mrs. Adolph Kovarna of Hinton; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Westcott-Doughty-Chandler funeral home.
Funeral services for Michael Vondrak, 80, who died Tuesday at a hospital, will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic church. Rev. Newman Flanagan will officiate. Burial will be in Logan park cemetery. The rosary will be recited at 8 o'clock tonight at the Wescott-Doughty-Chandler funeral home
