Claude was the son of Peter Vroman and Julia Ann Preston. He was born 20 May 1880.[1][2]
He married (a second time) Ethel May Tryon, widow Hutchinson, on 1 Sep 1918 in Royal Oak.[3]

After Ethel's death he married a third time, to Loretta Fisher, daughter of George Fisher and Catherine Wilson, on 8 May 1924 in Saginaw, Michigan.[4]
