Biography
Alfred W is a part of US Black heritage.
Alred W was probably born on the Ellison Plantation in Washington, Beaufort County, North Carolina, and was transported to Ellison Plantation, Baldwin County, Alabama to be hired out there as an adult in 1859. In 1860, he was working in the turpentine industry.
