William Savage Wait was born, 3 April 1808, the second son of Daniel Wait, of Belluton, and his wife, Ann Purnell Savage, eldest child and co-heir (with sisters Sarah and Hester) of Charles Savage, of Midsomer Norton (Somerset).[1]
William Savage Wait appears as co-executor to the estate of John Purnell in an Indenture, of 3 June 1863.[2] The details of the Indetnure are discussed on the profile of his brother Daniel Charles Wait.
He died in the third quarter of 1869 and appears in the quarterly registration of deaths for Axbridge, Somerset, England.[3] Having died without male heir the estates passed to the line of his brother; Daniel Charles Wait.

He married Caroline St Albyn, in the third quarter of 1848.[4] She was the youngest daughter of Langley St. Albyn, of Alfoxton (Somerset).[5]
The family is noticed as living at Camerton, Somerset, England, in the Census of 1851. At the time they have one daughter, Frances, age not shown and thus less than 1. His wife, Caroline is shown as 33, thus born 1818 and born at Alforton, Somerset. He is said to be a Justice Of The Peace. [6]
The children were:
Frances Anne St Albyn Wait, born 1850, married Richard Hungerford Pollen, 08 Jun 1875, at St Mary Magdalen, Stoke Bishop, Gloucestershire.[7] He was the son and heir to Sir Richard Hungerford Pollen, 3rd Bt. Pollen, of Redenham, co. Hampshire.[8]
