He served the United States Army during World War I. He enlisted on July 26, 1917 and was discharged on February 11, 1918. He was a Private.[1]
He married Clavie Walden in 1906. Their children were:

He married Florence "Flossie" Robinson on March 24, 1932 in Rockdale County, Georgia.[2] Their children were:

He died, at the age of 49, on August 14, 1936 in Conyers, Georgia.[3] He is buried at the Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Covington, Newton County, Georgia.[4][5]
