Biography

Jane was born in Leeds in 1843 to ? Walker and Jane Atha.^[1]

Jane married John Ellis Uren in Victoria, Australia, in 1861. ^[2]

Jane married Edmund Smart on the 25 April 1899. ^[3]

Jane died on the 16 November 1918. ^[4][5]

Her remains were buried in the Linwood Cemetery, 31 Butterfield Avenue, Christchurch, on the 19 November 1918. Her grave is in Block 32, Plot 49. Also in this grave are the remains of her mother, Jane Walker, who was buried in the same plot on the 18 October 1905.^[6]
