Edmund Walker was born on 27 June 1890, at Wendon, Southland, New Zealand.[1] He was the son of William Walker (1862-1931) and Patience Argyle (1865-1915).

He passed away on 8 October 1915, at Canakkale, Ottoman Empire. Edmond is buried at Chunuk Bair Cemetery, Gallipoli, Çanakkale, Turkey.[3]
