Francis was the son of James Wallace and Rebecca Elizabeth Smith.[1] He had a relationship with Eliza Murphy, which produced a child, though it is unlikely they were married. He passed away in 1892 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts.[2] His probate was administered publicly and the documents contain no mention of living family members.[3] Profile manager has just begun researching him after confirming him as her 3rd great-grandfather.
Francis is found in Hutchinson's Nova Scotia directory, for 1866-67 in Port Mulgrave, as Wallace, France - clerk. For more information at this time, please see the profile of his illegitimate daughter, Emma Anna Murphy.
