Biography

William was born in about 1345.

William Walrond, of Bradfield, married Alis, daughter of Walter Hake, of Columpton, Devonshire, England. [1]

In 1366 William was mentioned in a quitclaim as son and heir of William for lands and manor of Colyton, held by John Belston ,Sir William Pontone rector of Cornwood and William Chaplain of Cullompton from the gift of Sir William Wich. [2]

In 1387 documents note that a grant was made from William of Bradfield to his son Nicholas and Nicholas's wife Margaret. [3]

By 1394 they had a son William who was mentioned in a deed tripartite between the William Walronds (father and son), John Waltham and John Crosse and William Bonyvyll, knight. [4] The following year, 1395, the was a grant of premesis, goods and chattels made between Joan, the daughter of William de Furneaux and both William senior and junior. [5] Was this a marriage settlement for William junior?

William died sometime between 1402 and 1406. His widow Alice married John Whiting. Their marriage is noted in a grant of life interest dated 1406 between John Whiting and Alice his wife, widow of William Walrond and William son of William Walrond for premises at Bradfield and Stenhall. [6]
