Biography
Christopher Wandesford was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles.
Christopher Wandesford, 1st Viscount Castlecomer (1656-1707) was the son of Sir Christopher Wandesford, 1st Bt. and Eleanor Lowther. He married Elizabeth Montagu, daughter of Hon. George Montagu and Elizabeth Irby, circa 20 April 1683.
He was MP for Ripon between 1679 and 1681. He succeeded his father as 2nd Baronet Wandesford in February 1686/87.
He appears to have moved principally to Castlecomer about 1690. MP for St. Canice in the Irish House of Commons 1692-1707. He was created 1st Viscount Castlecomer, co. Kilkenny and 1st Baron Wandesford [Ireland] on 15 March 1706/7.
