He married Eliza Ellen (Townsend) Ward in [2] 1916 at Wellington, New South Wales, Australia. He was the father of Ella May Ward, John Raymond Townsend Ward, Bethel Victoria Ward, Kenneth Stuart Ward, Jessie Grace Madeline Ward and Valerie Irene Ward Leslie died 1 Aug 1949 (aged 60) [3]1949 at Bushrangers Creek, New South Wales. Australia and was buried on 1 August 1949 in Church Of England Cemetery Wellington, New South Wales, Australia.

shock to relatives and friends. Deceased, who was a native of Wellington, was well-known and highly respected in the town and district. The funeral took place yesterday after service in St. John the Baptist Church at which Rev. H. Graham officiated. The remains were later interred in the Church of England portion of the Wellington cemetery. Rev. Graham officiated at the graveside and Messrs. C. J. Shakespeare and Sons had charge of funeral arrangements.
