Probably the same person as Westcott-1546 (merged) and Read-2506. This needs resolving.

1) Hannah Ward b. c1767, m. (1st) Mr. Reynolds, m. (2nd) Thomas Hazen Merrill

Note: birth must have been 1762 or earlier as that is when her mother died.

Research Notes

This may be completely wrong. Thomas Hazen Merrill was married to Hannah Read. familysearch has him married to her half sister Sarah Hannah Ward.[1] However, Sarah Hannah and Hannah may be the same person, just with wrong dates. Further research is required before joining this couple.

There's much to be sorted out and the following book seems to be a good start. https://archive.org/details/utahpioneerapost00merr/page/19/mode/1up

Thomas and Nathan are both in the 1820 census. Mariner Wood Merrill was an early pioneer of Utah. He's the subject of the above reference.

There is no Sarah Hannah Merrill formerly Ward aka Reynolds. There is, however, a Hannah Ward.

Hannah Ward was the daughter of Jonathan Ward, and married Reuben Fillmore.

Source 1: Dr. William Cochrane Milner (Historian and former N.B. Archivist) History of Sackville, 1934, p. 170f ~ "Hannah, another daughter (of Jonathan Ward) married Reuben Fillmore."

Source 2: Esther Clark Wright, C.M. Planters and Pioneers, 1982, p. 310 ~ "Hannah...dau. (of Jonathan Ward)."

These two individual writers are the authority of Nova Scotia/New Brunswick history, not Marriner Wood Merrill's accounts.

Lastly, Source 3: New Brunswick Genealogical Society. Arrivals 99: Our First Families in New Brunswick, p. 283 ~ "Hannah Ward, daughter of Jonathan Ward, m. Reuben Fillmore."

Please feel free to correct this profile. My goal is to present a starting point for discussion, hopfully getting close to the truth. It's a confusing family and poorly documented so I may have made errors. However, this is a collaborative effort.

Just to be clear, I created this profile due to the mess made by KJ (McCarthy) McCarty. Some of that person's profiles still exist. Ward-30422 and Ward-30415 for example. After that person left, they vandalized all the profiles they created. I don't know who you are or if you're connected to KJ. If you do make changes, justify them.
