Biography

Albert Binnie Ware was born in 1895 in Ballarat East, Victoria. He was the son of Henry Ware & Elizabeth Binnie. ^[1] At the onset of WW1, the family lived at 39 Nicholson Street, Soldier's Hill, Ballarat & his father was a plumber ^[2] and Albert followed in his footsteps entering into an apprenticeship. It was during this apprenticeship that he joined the war effort with the 10th Field Ambulance Brigade. ^[3] He was sent firstly to London in 1916 then over to France in 1917 where he was gassed. He was evacuated back to England where he remained being treated for his condition. He was repatriated to Australia in 1919. ^[3]

He returned home and resumed his trade as a plumber. ^[2] and in 1923 he married Hilda Rowe ^[4] They started married life at 16 Otway Street, Ballarat East, ^[2] but moved to 23 Napier Street, Ballarat before 1931. ^[2] In the intervening period they had 4 children.

Albert died on 5 Jul 1981 in Ballarat. ^{[5] [6]}
