Biography

Russell was born in 1915. He was the son of James Warwick and Bertie Cheek. He grew up in Mangum, OK. He may have been living with his sister Agnes in Los Angeles when he enlisted in the US Army 28 Feb 1942 in San Pedro, CA. He had attained the rank of T/Sergeant when was discharged 5 May 1945. Russell married Frances Hochberg on 14 February 1946, in Clark, Nevada, United States. He died on 7 January 2001, in Vista, San Diego, California, United States, at the age of 85, and was buried in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, United States.
