Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Whitson Funeral Home with Rev. Harlon Reynolds and Rev. Archie King, formerly of Cookeville now of Murfreesboro, officiating. Burial was in the Shipley Cemetery. Mr. Wassom, a native of Jackson countian, was a retired farmer. He resided on 97 E. 16th street and was a member of the Methodist Church. His parents Pleasant and Sara Jaquess Wassom. Survivors are: four sons, Cleon Wassom, Cookeville, Doss, Dayton and Eston Wassom, all of Detroit; two daughters, Mrs. Eula Stewart, Cookeville, Mrs. Dimple Clouse, Tampa, FL. A twin brother, Elbert Wassom, sister, Mrs. Minnie King of Cookeville; 18 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren. Family Members Parents Pleasant M.
