Biography

John Waterbury was born about 1649 in Watertown, Connecticut. His parents were John Waterbury and Rose Porter.

He married Mary Unknown in 1669

He married Mary Wickes in 1679

Together they had 4 children:

1. Thomas Waterbury
2. David Waterbury
3. Mary Waterbury
4. John Waterbury

He died on November 28, 1688, in Stamford, Fairfield, Connecticut.

His Last Will and Testament is submitted to the probate court on 11 December 1688.^[1] Two witnesses, Jonathan Bell and Joseph Bishop made an oath that John Waterbury set his hand to the Will. In his Will he mentions his wife but not by name. But she appears before the court and made an oath to the inventory. He mentions his sons, John, David, and Thomas, and his daughter, Mary. Two of his brothers, Jonathan and David are made executors of the will.
