Catherine WEAVOR was born in 1758 in Staffordshire, England (*1). Catherine married John CYPLES on 19 June 1791 in St. Giles Parish Church, Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire, England(*2). They were married by John Fernyhough. Edward Cyples and Cornelius Toft were the witnesses. Catherine made her mark with a cross. They obtained a licence to marry on 19 June 1791 in St. Giles Parish Church before the Rev'd John Fernyhough. John Cyples used the same distinctive signature he used when he married his first wife Alice Blood. The bondsman was William Hill of Newcastle Corn-factor. Catherine appeared in the census in 1841 in Willow Row, Longton, Staffordshire, England.(*1) She died of Old Age on 27 April 1849 in Splatslade, Staffordshire, England.(*3). The informant was "Edward Cyples present at the Death of John Street Longton".
Catherine died of old age in 1849 aged 96 according to her death certificate. I have not yet found her burial to check her age there. Her death certificate notes she was the widow of John Cyples. The informant was her son Edward. I think he overstated her age otherwise she would have still been having children well into her 50's although there are very rare historical examples of women having children even later than this. She is recorded as being 83 on the 1841 census putting her age about 5 years younger which seems more likely.
