Biography

Martha Jane Webb was born on 13 May 1827 in Alabama, United States.

Martha's first marriage was to William Brasier Gilliland (1825 - 1863).

Their children were:
  1. Sarah Jane Gilliland (1845 - 1942)[1]
  2. Nancy E (Gilliland) Martin (1847 - 1933).[2]
  3. John Webb Gilliland (1850-1939)[3]
  4. James M. Gilliland (1859-1934)[4]
  5. Lewis Franklin Gilliland (1861-1946)[5]

Her second marriage was to Thomas S. Ward (1807 - 1894).[6]

They had no children together.

Martha died on 13 Feb 1913 in Flat Creek, Bedford, Tennessee aged 85.[7]
