Jeanne was born while her family lived on an almond farm in Yuba City/Marysville, California, USA. In her teen years, the family moved to Alameda where she attended local Catholic schools. One day her brother came up their driveway pushing a car with the help of Bob Shears. Jeanne and Bob were married a year or so after that.
Five children were born to the couple and Jeanne put quite a bit of time into Cub Scouts, Brownies, camping trips, driving to and from swimming lessons, ballet lessons, piano lessons, and gymnastics. While Bob was working as a banker, the family moved from the Bay Area to Riverside to welcome their last child.
Jeanne was very active in the communities in which she lived, chairing ladies' golf clubs and events as well as Council for The Retarded, as it was called in Santa Barbara during the 1960s.
Bob had a love of the game of golf so Jeanne decided to take lessons of her own to spend time with her man. They belonged to various clubs around California and by her retirement years, Jeanne had 5 holes in 1.
After spending many years living in Santa Barbara, Jeanne and Bob moved to Solvang, California. Jeanne volunteered at the Elverhoy Museum (Danish). She passed away in 2009, 17 years after Bob. She left children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, many cousins and lifelong friends.
Jeanne appears in the 1920 census as Jeanne Mary or Mary Jeanne Weber.
