Biography

Jeptha was born in 1790. He was the son of Samuel Jeptha Weeks (1770-1845) and Anne (Jackson) Weeks (abt.1770-abt.1830).

Spouse Sarah Jones m- Feb 5, 1814 in Putnam Co, GA.[1]

Died from small pox contracted during wagon train travel with the Benjamin Matthews Company of the Latter Day Saints.[2]

Originally buried in Cottonwood, Utah Territory, Jeptha was exhumed in May 1916 and reburied in San Bernardino, CA[3].

Brief Life History

When Jeptha Weeks was born in 1790, in Milledgeville, Baldwin, Georgia, United States, his father, Samuel Jeptha Weeks, was 22 and his mother, Anne Jackson, was 25. He married Sarah "Sally" Jones on 5 February 1814, in Putnam, Georgia, United States. They were the parents of at least 4 sons and 10 daughters. He lived in Tishomingo, Tishomingo, Mississippi, United States in 1850 and Tishomingo, Mississippi, United States in 1850. He died in August 1856, in Cottonwood, Salt Lake, Utah, United States, at the age of 66, and was buried in Pioneer Memorial Cemetery, San Bernardino, San Bernardino, California, United States.
