Biography

Daniel Weimer was born in Pennsylvania.

Daniel Weimer has German Roots.

Daniel, son of David Samuel Weimer and Catherine Hartman, was born 24 June 1839 in Milford Township, Somerset County, Pennsylvania.^[1] His parents had him baptized 27 October 1839 at the Evangelical Reformed Church in Milford Township.^[2]

Residence (1850) owned land valued at $200 in Milford Township, Somerset, Pennsylvania David (age 36, farmer) and Catharine Weimer (34), Franklin (12), Daniel Henry (11), Susanna "Susan" (9), Eliza (7), Lydia I. (6), Samuel Austin (4) and Lavina Catherine Weimer (2). ^[3] They lived next to Catherine's parents and siblings.^[3]

Residence (1860) no longer owned land in Milford Township, Somerset, Pennsylvania David S. (age 48, day laborer) and Catharine Weimer (44), Franklin (21, day laborer), David H. [sic] (20, day laborer), Susannah (18), Eliza (16), Lydia (14), Samuel (12), Lovinia Weimer (10).^[4]

On 31 March 1864, he married Mary Barbara Sweitzer,^{[citation needed]} daughter of John Sweitzer and Mary Hay.^{[citation needed]}

Daniel died 3 April 1866 in Ligonier, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and was buried there at Old Ligonier Cemetery.^[1]
