Biography

William was born about 1850. [1]

In 1876 William Weir of Drum, father William married Eliza Jane Crawford, of Clare, father William at Orritor Presbyterian Church.[2]

In 1911, the Weir family were living in Drum William 63 Palmer, his wife, Elizabeth 62 and their son Silas 23 William and Elizabeth have been married 33 years five children four still alive. [3]

He passed away 2 February 1928 at his residence in Drum, having been bedridden for a long time. The funeral was to the family burying-ground, Kildress. The chief mourners were: [4] [5]

Research Notes

Tentative parents William Weir + Mary Ann Black -- based on same townland and age from the 3rd Cookstown Presbyterian notes. [6] Drum was a small townland with only 10 farms in Griffith's Valuation, and one Weir (William).
