Golden was born in 1903. She was the daughter of Steven Welch and Nora Wolfe and she is listed with her parents on the 1910 Census[1] in her birthplace of Hancock, Tennessee. She was the wife of Charles Clarence VanHuss (1897–1964) and an official marriage record has not been found but find-a-grave indicates that they were married in 1923. The couple are listed together on both: the 1930 Census[2] and the 1940 Census[3] in Lee, Virginia. Her husband passed away in 1964 in Lee, Virginia[4] and she passed away in 1976 in Painesville, Lake County, Ohio.[5]
