Mary was born about 1919. She is the daughter of George Welch and Trannie Donahoo.

Obituary PETERSON - Mary Lee Welch Brown, age 100, of Peterson, passed away on December 6, 2018 at home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 10, 2018 at Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Marcus Brown officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgle and Trannie Welch; three sisters; one brother; husband, Freeman H. Brown; and two sons, Randy Brown and Peyton Ray Brown.
Survivors include her daughter, Ruth Hallman; four sons, Dean Brown, Clifton Brown (Faye), Everette Brown (Helen), and Bobby Brown; one sister, Beatrice Prescott of Reform, Ala; twelve grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; and one great- great grandchild.
Mary was a devoted Christian woman who loved the Lord and is now at home with our Maker. She will be missed, but we will see her again soon. Our mother had her 100th Birthday on September 6th. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
