Biography
Herman B Wells was born on June 7th, 1902, in Jamestown, Indiana, to Joseph Granville Wells and Anna Bernice Harting.[1][2][3] Wells had no middle name besides the letter "B." He said that his unique middle name resulted from his parents wanting to follow a family tradition of names starting with the letter, but they couldn't settle on any one name in particular.[4]
Wells passed away on March 18, 2000, at his home in Bloomington, Indiana.[2][3] On the 22nd, he was buried alongside his mother and father in the Jamestown IOOF Cemetery.[1]
