Myrtle Louvenia Welton Anderson grew up in the Mulberry River Valley of Franklin County, AR. Her father was a school teacher, postmaster, and store owner in the community of Redding. She married William Eugene Anderson, from the White Oak Community. They were married for 43 years and had ten children. She died of disease during World War II while her two sons were in the Pacific serving in the Navy. Her children were close and returned to the farm house in White Oak for many years for family reunions with 60 or more attendees. She was known as a kind and funny mother and was much loved. Her Welton family's home in Redding was also the location of many reunions and is today owned, in many pieces, by all the Welton descendants including Myrtle's grandchildren.
