Biography

Anna Clara Wenner was born on January 29, 1907, in Seneca County, Ohio. Anna Clara is the daughter of Frederick Michael Wenner and Minnie L. Sopher.

Anna married on September 27, 1927, in Seneca County, Ohio to Lewis Napoleon Miller, son of Joseph G. Miller and Josephine King. Lewis was born on March 1, 1905 in Tiffin, Seneca County, Ohio.

Four known children were born to this union. The firstborn, a son, Keith Arlen Miller, was born September 2, 1928, in Tiffin, Seneca, Ohio. The 1930 Census for Tiffin, Seneca, Ohio lists Louis N. Miller – head, aged 25; Anna Miller – wife, aged 23; and Keith Miller – son, aged 1. The second child, a daughter, Phyllis Miller, was born on June 11 1930, in Ohio.

Anna and Louis moved to Detroit, Michigan where their third child, a daughter, Marilyn Jane Miller, was born on May 19, 1934. Three years later, they moved to New York, Queens, New York. Here, a fourth child, a son, Frederick Miller was born about 1937. The 1940 Census for New York, Queens, New York lists Anna Miller – head, aged 33; Keith Miller – son, aged 11; Phyllis Miller – daughter, aged 9; Marilyn Miller – daughter, aged 5; and Frederick Miller – son, aged 3. The whereabouts of Louis are unknown. However, Anna claims she is married.

Lewis and Anna made at least one more move to California. By 1942 Lewis was living in Hawthorne, Los Angeles, California, as this is where he listed for the World War II draft.

Lewis died on September 20, 1971 in Los Angeles, California. Anna died on January 18, 1983, in Orange County, California. Age at Death: 76. Anna is buried in Fairhaven Memorial Park, Santa Ana, Orange County, California.
