May (Weston) Blackburn was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

Elizabeth May (Weston) Blackburn was born on 19 Jun 1898 in Dubbo, New South Wales, Australia, daughter of James Weston (~1875 - ) and Emma Evelyn (Jeffcott) Berrell (1878 - 1978).^[1]

May's parents separated, her mother proceeded against her father for maintenance in 1902. ^[2]

May and her sister Margaret were assaulted by Maud Murray on 13 Jan 1915 in Dean Street, Albury, New South Wales. ^[3]

Elizabeth married Vincent Henry Blackburn (1895 - 1960) on 19 Jun 1923 in St Silas Church, Waterloo, New South Wales.^{[4] [5]}

Together May and Vince ran the Royal Oak Hotel, corner Erskine and Essex Streets, Sydney, two contemporary photographs of which are held by City of Sydney Archives.^[6]

Elizabeth died on 8 Apr 1991 in Bondi, New South Wales aged 92.^[7]
