Parthenia Jane Wheeley was born on 20 August 1835 in Person County, North Carolina, the daughter of Philip Benjamin Wheeley and Hannah Hawkins.

William and Ephraim attended school within the census year and all in household were born in North Carolina.[1]

Calvin Lea married Parthenia Jane Wheeley on 10 December 1857 in Person County, North Carolina.[2][3][4]
