A White Family Research Project has been formed. This Project focuses on robust documentation of descendants with the White surname who were some of the first settlers of Colonial Virginia, eventually migrating and becoming some of the first settlers in what would become the State of North Carolina. Many of the early progenitors of this line also become leaders of the Quaker movement. Y-DNA analysis has determined that descendants of this line carry the I-M253 - subgroup I-FT410059 Haplogroup and possibly immigrated from South Petherton, Somerset, England. Descendants of Joseph White are part of this group. Details of the Research Project can be found here: White Family Research Project.
Joseph was born about 1707. He passed away in 1759. [1]
