John Nicholas White II (1663 - 1726)

Using the 1726 will of a John White in Isle of Wight County doesn't make any sense. He didn't live in Isle of Wight County. In fact, I trace him through property and church records in St Paul's Parish, New Kent County from 1704 continuously through to a March 1744 will in New Kent County.

[The Vestry Book of St. Paul's Parish] Mr. John Smith died between 29 Mar 1744 and 16 Apr 1744.

The colonial wills and deeds for Hanover and New Kent Counties were destroyed during the Civil War. But a 1758 deed refers to the will leaving one of his properties (yellow in map) to his and second wife Katherine's six youngest children. In 1744 his son John Jr walks Procession of Lands, precinct 17. [The Vestry Book of St. Paul's Parish] A note includes John Jr to the yellow land on the map, but does not substitute him as owner. Note he would have been walking procession for his youngest six half-siblings.

Also note Caroline County formed 1728 so NOT Piccadilly, Caroline County. Very likely born in Lower Norfolk County, as his parents lived there Apr 1664.

How do any of the children attributed here for John White d. January 23, 1726 reconcile to the Will posted by Jim White (http://jimserver.net/downloads/White_Family.pdf) that transcribes Isle of Wight Will Book 3, Page 198 that references sons Valentine, William, and Jonathon, daughters Millicent, Jane, and Mary, and wife Elizabeth? Is it possible this is a different family?

Additionally, what documentation exists to tie John White d. 1726 to John White d.1717 and Eady L.?

Hello Sharon,

I would begin with only including the children of John and Eady Llewelyn White that you can document. I don't know of any evidence that they had sons named Chillion or James. If you have evidence, please post.

There is no evidence that this John White Jr. was the father of John Whtie b. about 1697. In fact, you have this John White Jr. as the father of two genetically different groups of Whites. John White b. about 1697 is R-BY6664 based upon documented descendant YDNA testing. Whereas the YDNA descendant testing of Jeremiah and Daniel White, shows them as R-Z16252. At the STR level, these two groups are not matches at all. I'm happy to assist you if you need clarification.
