Biography

Nancy was born in 1907. She was the daughter of Wilson Easley Whitmire and Julia Yeager.

In the1910 Census, the family of Wilson E. and Annie Whitmire can be found living on the Coldspring-Evergreen Road. Those in the household included Wilson E. Whitmire (45 yrs), Head of Household, occupation, Farmer, Annie Whitmire (28 yrs), Arthur E Whitmire (10 yrs), Ida Whitmire (8 yrs), Sue Whitmire (6 yrs), Oscar H Whitmire (5 yrs), Fidela Whitmire (2 yrs) and "Elsy" Whitmire (8/12 yrs). Wilson and Annie had been married 12 years at the time of the Census.

After Annie passed away in 1916, Wilson married Lydia Blake August 8, 1917. Wilson and Liddie can be found in the 1920 Census of San Jacinto County living on the farm they owned. Those in the household included Wilson E. Whitmire (54 yrs), Lydia Whitmire (30 yrs), Ida M Whitmire (18 yrs), Sue Whitmire (16 yrs), Herbert Whitmire (14 yrs), Idella (Fidela) Whitmire (11 yrs), Elsie Whitmire (10 yrs), Dovie Whitmire (5 yrs) and Wilson Whitmire (1 4/12 yr).

She passed away in 1988.
