Biography
Lila Evelyn (Wiborg) Helling (1908-1983) - excerpted from a work by Gene Setrum[1]:
"Lila Evelyn Wiborg was born on 07 Dec 1908 to Fredrick and Carrie (Nelson) Wiborg in Riverdale Township, Watonwan County, Minnesota.
"Lila Wiborg grew up on the family farm and attended School District #29, Madelia High School and St, Olaf College. She was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Madelia.
"Lila married Siver Helling, son of John A. Helling and Anna Hage on 11 Jul 1931 in Madelia. After marriage they farmed the Helling farm north of Madelia.
"Lila and Siver had 5 children: (not listed here as some are still living)
"Lila Wiborg Helling died on 06 May 1993. Siver Helling died in Feb 2006. They are both buried in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery near Madelia. She was 84 years old."
We find that Lila was baptized at Lake Hanska Lutheran Church on 24 January 1909. There her parents are listed as Carrie and Fredrick Wiborg.[2]
