Biography

Frances Wickstead was first married to Charles Bell at St Werburgh, Hoo, Kent, 13 October 1732.[1]

She married secondly William Hallett at St Werburgh, Hoo, 18 April 1747.[2]

The will of Frances Hallett of Chatham, widow, dated 16 July 1763, named the following relatives:

  • son-in-law Peter Lock of Chatham, his wife Elizabeth and daughter Frances;
  • son John Bell and his wife Dorothy
  • daughter Mary Hallett

The will was proved at London 26 July 1771.[3]

Frances ‘Hollett’ was buried at Frindsbury, Kent, 19 July 1771.[4]

Research Notes

She was perhaps the Frances, daughter of John Wicksted, attorney, baptised at Nantwich, Cheshire, 4 November 1711.[5]

She was presumably near related to John Wickstead, gunner, who was buried at Frindsbury 11 July 1745, also an Elizabeth Wickstead buried there 23 December 1756.[6]
