Biography

Johan Henrich Nikolaus Wiese (van Stockum sive Wiese) was born a few days before 18 Mar 1775 in Ankum.^[1] He was the son of Joan Herman van Stockum sive Wiese and Catharina Adelheid Lehmans.^[1]

He was christened in the catholic church St. Nikolaus Ankum on 18 Mar 1775.^[1] His godfather was Joan Henrich Meyer zu Westrup, assisted by Nicolaus Henrich (Cruse ?) and Helena Adelheid Depeweg.^[1]

Johan Henrich Nikolaus married Maria Catharina Hollenkamp (~1779 - 1805) on 19 Aug 1805 in Ankum.^[2] Their witnesses were Johann Henrich Frerker and Henrich Calmelage.^[2]

Their daughter was Katharina Maria Elisabeth Wiese, born 24 November 1805 only a few months after the marriage, suggesting that the bride was pregnant already upon marriage.^[3] Two days later, on 26 November 1805, the couple returned to St. Nikolaus, Ankum to celebrate their daughter's baptism with her godmother Kathar. Alheid Gerding, and the baptismal witnesses Johann Gerd Lohmann and Marg. Elisabet. Kellman.^[3] Unfortunately, their baby died only three days later on 29 November 1805 in Ankum.^[4] The couple this time had to visit St. Nikolaus Ankum to grieve her daughter's passing, and they (most likely) participated in the infant's burial on 1 December 1805.

But unfortunately, this would only be the start of a small series of terrible events. Only 9 days later, Maria Catharina (Hollenkamp) Wiese died on 10 December 1805 in Ankum aged 26.^[4] She was buried on 12 December 1805 in the catholic church cemetery of St. Nikolaus, Ankum.^[4]
