Jean Wightman was born in 1806 in Sanquhar, Dumfriesshire, Scotland, United Kingdom, daughter of Alexander Wightman (~1762–<1855) and Jean Bell (~1775–1855).[1]
In 1841, Jane (34) was living in Auchen Sow, Sanquhar with her husband, William (30); their children, Robert (10), Jean (8), Elisabeth (7), Alexander (5), Janet (3), William (0), John Graham (17), and Robert Corrie (12); and Helen Kennedy (18), and Agness Brown (15). [3]
Jane died before 1851 in Sanquhar, aged about 44.
