Biography

Deborah Wilder was born at Dennysville, Maine, 26 May 1804, the daughter of Ebenezer Cushing Wilder and Abigail Ayer; died there, 26 Jan 1834 [1] (or 30 Jan 1838), [2] and buried in the Dennysville Cemetery; married at Dennysville, 31 Aug 1824, Bela Raymond Reynolds, [3] [4] born at Plantation No. 2 (Dennysville), Maine, 19 Sep 1797, the son of Jonathan Reynolds and Persis Wilder; [5] drowned at Dennysville, 3 May 1853, [6] and is buried in the Dennysville Cemetery; [7] [8]

Bela married (2) at Dennysvile, 20 Apr 1834, Amelia Hersey Jones, [9] born at Edmunds, Maine, 17 May 1812, the daughter of Benjamin Richards Jones and Mehitable Lewis Hersey; [10] died of old age at Calais, Maine, 4 Oct 1893, ae 81y 4m 17d [11] (but note that Vital Records from the Eastport Sentinel, citing the issue of 12 Apr 1893, reports, "In Calais, 7 Apr 1893, Mrs. Gilbert Foster, 84y"); [12] buried in the Dennysville Cemetery; [13] [14]
