Grandfather: Robert Wildgoose, b 1757 Roxana, Sussex County, Delaware, d 1838 Sussex Co. Grandmother: Leigh Taylor, B abt 1760 Sussex Co., d 1829 Sussex Co.. Rob't & Leigh ma abt 1777 Sussex Co. GG: Thomas Blades Wilgus, b abt 1700 England, d 1795 Sussex Co. Served in Revolutionary War when in his 70's. GG: Bridgett Woodcraft, no info. No record of siblings of James F.

Several sources quote his birth as early as 1704. one source indicates he was born in the Virginia Colony. one source indicates he passed away as early as 3 August 1786 in Worcester, Maryland.

  • re: "proved to not have been married": how do you prove a negative?
  • Roxana, Sussex Co. should be stated as "area now called Roxana as Roxana was formerly Centerville and Dog;s Ear Corner; before 1775 the area was in Worcester MD.
    • Fold 3, Wildgoose, Thomas, US Revolutionary War: Army, Delaware, Haslet's Regiment , 1776-1777. In barracks in Dover (Delaware)in April 1776.
