She married John Wesley Franks in Abbeville County, SC on 27 November 1854, by Rev. William Hervey Davis (Presbyterian).[2]
During her marriage to John Wesley Franks, they had two children -- Lewis Marion Franks and Alice Mabel Franks. Jane Franks evidently died soon after the birth of her second child, Alice, or at least before 1860, because she does not appear with the family in the 1860 Census.[3]

There are some anecdotal stories that Jane Wilhite Franks died in childbirth after her husband had been killed at Sharpsburg. But, she does not appear with her husband in the 1860 census, and evidently died in childbirth in 1858.
