Elizabeth Wilkerson was born in approximately 1814 in Bedford County, Virginia, United States, daughter of John Wilkerson and Elizabeth Worley.
Eliza married Jesse Coleman on November 5, 1830 in Bedford, Virginia. She was the daughter of Elizabeth Burks.[1][2][3][4]
The first instance of Eliza in the U.S. censuses is in 1850. Eliza and Jesse lived in Liberty, Bedford, Virginia. She was 36 years old and had 7 living children and her mother lived with them on the land that Jesse farmed.[5]

Eliza's son Robert Coleman died in June 1855 in Bedford, Virginia.[6][7]
In the 1860 census Eliza and Jesse are listed in Northern District, Bedford County, Virginia. She was 46 years old.[8] This is the last time Eliza is seen in US Census records or any other record. No death or burial information has been located.
